SECOND ADVANCED SUMMER SCHOOL IN AFRICA

Training Course on the Molecular Mechanisms of Viral Infection Propagation

 Programme

A faculty of local and international scientists will conduct the one week advanced theoretical training course for young scientists interested in the Molecular Mechanisms of Viral Infection Propagation.  The course will include lectures and tutorials on the topic.

Areas to be covered include:

  • Molecular Virology, particularly of coronavirus (SARS, etc)
  • Genetic diversity of viruses, influenza and others
  • Molecular aspects of life cycle of tropical viruses
  • Molecular aspects of retroviral biology
  • DNA Tumour viruses
  • RNA Tumour viruses
